11A – make before break Connectors
Issue: In many telecommunications networks legacy connectors need to be replaced on an ongoing basis. Access to the Internet is becoming a critical requirement by all customers – both commercial and residential. It is critical for lines with broadband & TV services to retain customer service at all times. Therefore no-break changeovers are even more important than ever.
Solution: To address this – Dexgreen has developed a gel-filled make-before-break crimp connector that is used to ensure no-break changeover on working circuits. Key features of this solution include:
- Application: It is to connect 2 wires together with a make before break connector and cutting away the excess that enables service to be maintained. This solution is particularly relevant to businesses, where access to the internet is a critical part of their operation. The CWI 11A is most suited for use for the maintenance and uplift of working circuits in the D-side network and in PCP/SCP including remakes and replacement of obsolete connectors e.g. blue beans.
- Unique IDC design: The CWI 11A can be used on 0.4mm to 0.9mm copper conductors, including paper insulated wires, and 0.5 to 0.7mm aluminum conductors and incorporate a test point for the test probe that comes with each box of connectors.
