DexGreen has developed multiple product solutions to address different Aerial deployments for completing SDU (Single Dwelling Unit) FTTH installations.

This has resulted in versatile products that can be readily adapted to the needs of all Operators in order to speed up installation time. All products are supported by extensive training supports.

Key Components include the following:

  • Closures & Brackets – designed for optimal cable management and suitable for installation in different environments.
  • Drop Cable and Clamp – numerous cable constructions and clamps, which are PIA approved, suitable for both Underground and Overhead use, available pre-connectorised in various configurations, and prepared in novel environmentally-friendly packaging options.
  • External Demarcation Boxes – compact and discrete external wall boxes, which can be used as an access & test point between the Outside Plant Network and the Customer's Premises.
  • Customer Lead In Cable – various types of cables designed for both internal and external deployment.
  • Cable Entry Covers – discrete covers to safely manage the entry of external fibre cable into buildings in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
  • Internal Fibre Wall Outlets – Discrete termination points installed within the customer's premises which are also designed to integrate with many commonly available Subscriber ONTs.

High-speed fibre networks play a crucial role in enhancing productivity for individuals and businesses, even in rural areas. These networks open up new possibilities in education, healthcare, and leisure, which were previously limited. Unfortunately, rural fiber-optic infrastructure has been given a lower priority due to challenges like low population density and the additional resources required for cable installation.

There are many benefits to improving fibre networks in rural areas including Improved Education, Enhanced Healthcare, Facilitated Smart Agriculture, and More Job Opportunities.

Rural FTTH broadband rollouts have increased in recent years, and novel solutions produced by DexGreen have played a crucial part in them.

Different installation methods are available to telecom operators. However, Aerial Fibre rollouts are a cost-effective method that can be deployed relatively quickly, resulting in a fairly easy means to connect subscribers.

Key components to be considered in a deploying rural aerial fibre rollout:

  • Fibre Cable (underground and overhead) – mechanical and environmental characteristics must be considered when specifying this. Key issues commonly faced include wind loading, fibre strain, adequate separation from legacy telecom networks (i.e. copper) or electricity infrastructure.
  • Closures and Connectivity – flexibility to install underground and overhead, accommodate network build and customer connection and easy-to-follow work practices to ensure customer connections can be completed promptly.
  • Aerial Brackets: Solutions that can be readily fitted quickly onto existing legacy telecom or electricity infrastructure. Furthermore, our products have designs built to provide adequate clearance from existing infrastructure.
  • Cable clamps: We do extensive in-house testing to validate the cable and clamp solution according to the end user’s specifications. Various options can be tested and specified.
  • Drop cable: Universal cable construction is suitable for underground and overhead use and is also available in multiple connectorized options according to end-user preferences. Novel packaging methods ensure these can be dispensed with ease.
